Chapter Four
Things Get Explained
(About Damn Time!)
Sarah's P.O.V.

Hand over the pencil, Aqua! You had enough fun! Let me have a turn!..... Ah, there we go. About damn time I could do my P.O.V. So where were we? Oh yeah. Nico and four others were dragging us into a cabin that smelled like saltwater. When we were all in, my friends and I quickly got away from them and stumbled onto the bottom bunk of a bunk bed.

"Everyone here?" Asked a dark-haired green-eyed boy.

A girl with blond hair and gray eyes nodded.

"All here, Percy."

"Good." "Percy" turned to us. "Look, let's be a little blunt with explaining things, okay?"

"Okay." Aqua said.

"Sure." David said.

"I'm all for bluntness." I naturally said.

Percy nodded, then pointed to each of us.

"Sarah's the daughter of Hermes."

"We established that." I said.

"Aqua is my sister. Daughter of Poseidon. God of the sea."

"That explains why I like the smell of this cabin." Aqua said.

Percy's face looked grim when he turned to David.

"And David is the son of Apollo. God of the sun, poetry, music, medicine, and prophecy."

David shifted in his seat. "Why do you say it like that? It doesn't sound so bad."

Nico balled his fists.

"Because it is nowadays! Apollo's been acting like a-"

"Nico..." The pretty brunette girl said gently.

Nico took a deep breath. "The...the children of Apollo have been disappearing from camp. When they went into their cabin, they vanished. When they got an unexpected gift from their father, like the lyre, they vanished. Its as if Apollo is taking them or something. We don't know. I was good friends with some of them. Just last week, Will..."

Nico sniffed and a few tears fell. Percy and a blond boy with glasses and a scar on his lip were at his side in an instant.

"It'll be alright, Nico." The blond boy said.

"Will it, Jason?"

"Don't be that way." Percy said. "We'll find him and the others. I know it. Annabeth."

"Yeah?" Said the blond girl.

"Has Rachel had any prophecies?"

She shook her head. "No. But I got some bad news from Hazel about Camp Jupiter."

"Oh, don't tell me."

Annabeth nodded grimly. "Its happening there, too."

"Son of Kronos! Oops. Sorry Dad. And Hades. More or less Zeus."

"Dude." Jason said.

"Dude, he tried to kill me the minute he met me."

"Uh, yoo hoo!" I said.

They looked at me.

"Look, I'm not being insensitive about Nico here but I think you guys still have explaining to do."

"She's right." Nico said. He wiped his tears and walked to the door. "I'll be in my cabin." He left.

Jason sighed. "Piper? You think you could make sure he's okay?"

The pretty girl nodded. "Sure." She left the cabin.

Soon after, Chiron and a boy walked in. Wait... Did that guy have goat hooves?!... Yeah. They're hooves.

"I just got done calming the campers." Chiron said. "You told them of our problem, I take it?"

"Yes, Chiron." Annabeth said.

Chiron nodded and turned to David.

"I am sorry your first day here was so eventful."

"Hey, it was better than yesterday." David said.

Aqua raised her hand.

"Yes?" Chiron said.

"I still have a few questions. What's Camp Jupiter? Who's this Will character? Why is Nico more upset about him than anyone else? Why are the children of Apollo disappearing? Is he a satyr? Who's Rachel? How can she have prophecies? What kind of prophecies do you have?"

Before Aqua could ask another question, I covered her mouth with my hand.

"Sorry. Once she starts questions like those she can't stop."

"Unless we give her chocolate. Speaking of which, I have a promise to keep." David said as he pulled a big bag out his backpack. "Told ya I'd buy you chocolate."

Aqua gasped and grabbed the bag.

"Thankie!" She took out a a bar, unwrapped it, and took a bite. "Nom!"

Everyone, except David and I, stared at her.

"This is the norm for us." I explained.

"I see." Chiron said. "Well, here are the answers to your questions. Camp Jupiter is the Roman camp. That is where the Roman children of the gods live. We do not know why Apollo's children are disappearing. My only guess is that he is taking them. Why he would do that is beyond me. Rachel Elizibeth Dare is our Oracle. She rarely gives prophecies now. If she gave someone a prophecy, they would have to go on a quest. And yes. Mr. Underwood is a satyr."

"Called it!" Aqua said triumphantly.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Grover."

"Aqua."

"David."

"Sarah."

Grover eyed Aqua.

"Uh, do you want some?"

"No thank you. But...uh...can I have the wrapper?"

"Uh, sure bro."

Aqua handed him the wrapper.

And he ate it and licked his lips.

"Thank you. I haven't eaten since breakfast. Always busy nowadays."

I bust out laughing. "You eat foil and stuff?"

"Yes?"

"That's cool. Just cool."

Chiron cleared his throat. "David. Since the Apollo Cabin is too dangerous for you, you will stay in Hermes Cabin with Sarah. Since she is your friend I'm sure she will make sure her brothers and sisters won't steal your belongings."

"Oh yeah. You can count on me."

"More or less."

I playfully punch his arm.

"Now that, that is settled, I must retire for the night. Grover, please escort these two to Hermes Cabin when you're done here."

"Yes Chiron."

Chiron nodded and left.

"I noticed how he avoided two of my questions." Aqua said.

Percy sighed. "I'll answer them. Will is a son of Apollo. Last week he disappeared after hanging out with Nico."

"I take it they were close?" David asked.

"More than close." Annabeth said. "They were dating."

David's jaw dropped. Aqua and I were silent for a moment. Then we started squealing.

"That's so cute!" Aqua said.

"He was already cute but now he's just so adorable!" I squealed.

David threw pillows at us.

"Shut up! That's not important right now!"

"Sorry." We said.

"That's why Nico is so upset." Percy continued. "Cause Apollo may have kidnapped his boyfriend."

"Poor Nico." Aqua said.

"Wait. What about this Rachel chick?" I asked. "Chiron said she gives prophecies and demigods go on quests because of them. Why can't someone go on a quest to find the children of Apollo?"

"Because Rachel hasn't had any prophecies since..." Jason started but stopped. His face saddened.

Percy placed a hand on his shoulder. "Let's just say that she hasn't been able to have any."

"Do you think my dad has something to do with it?" David asked.

"Why do you ask that?"

"Well, Apollo's the god of prophecy, right? And he's the reason for the Oracle of Delphi, right? Well, maybe he's somehow preventing Rachel from having prophecies."

"Wait a minute." Aqua said. "I just thought of something. Do the children of the gods inherit some of their powers?"

"Yes." Annabeth answered.

"Then it might be possible for Apollo's children to control the Oracle as well."

"I think I know what you're saying." I said. "If Apollo didn't want any prophecies, he also wouldn't want anything to bring them back."

"Or anyone." David said.

Aqua stood and paced. "So Apollo somehow prevented Rachel from having prophecies."

David joined her. "Then he took his kids."

I joined them. "He didn't want to risk anything."

We stopped and looked at each other with wide eyes.

"Apollo took his children so they wouldn't be triggers to reactivate Rachel's ability to give prophecies!" We exclaimed.

Percy, Jason, Annabeth, and Grover stared at us.

"How do you know what each other is going to say to say it at the same time like that?" Grover asked.

"More importantly, why didn't I think of that? I'm a daughter of Athena. I should have seen it." Annabeth said.

"The real question is why." I said, getting into my secret detective mode. I should thank Mom for forcing that crap on me. "Why would Apollo want to stop prophecies?"

David shivered. "I don't know but I feel something. Like, there's something going on. I don't think my dad took his kids just to keep triggers away."

Annabeth walked up to him. "What do you mean?"

David shook his head. "I don't know. I just feel like something is trying to tell me something. I-I think Apollo... I think he has something planned. Wait. I hear you. Clear as day."

Aqua and I looked at each other, then at David.

"David?"

"Shh! I don't know how but I hear someone. He says he's secretly using magic to contact me. Its fuzzy. He's not good with magic at all. He says... he's my brother."

David closed his eyes and concentrated.

"I sorta see him. Same hair and eyes. Features are a bit different. He says he's... Will."

Everyone's eyes widened.

"No one tells Nico!" Percy said. "He's worried as it is."

"He says," David continues. "They're all safe. For now. A spell. Music. Revenge on... Repeat that name. Ugh! Brainwashing. Need...quest. Delphi. Its so fuzzy. My heads starting to hurt. No. We need this info. Keep talking as long as you can. Nico? Worried sick. I'll try but he seems like the type of guy who'll rip my head off if I make him mad... You don't know where you are?... You can't break out?... Then we'll find a way... What? The gods? What do they-you're breaking up!"

David started to sway. Aqua and I each grab an arm and sit him on the bed.

"Save your energy. Stop the link. What?... A plan? What plan? Dangerous? Wait. Wait!"

David's head went to the side as if someone slapped him. When he opened his eyes he was breathing heavily. We sat on either side of him.

"Dude. Are you alright?" I asked.

"I-I think so. Will said...something about a plan. Apollo's plan for revenge."

"Revenge?" Annabeth repeated.

"Oh no." Jason said.

"What? What is it?" Aqua asked.

"I think I know what's going on. Apollo must have been punished for the Prophecy of Seven."

"The what?"

"We should wait until morning to discuss this." Annabeth said. "Grover. Get these two to Hermes Cabin."

"Right."

Percy turned to Aqua. "The cabins have been reconstructed to be five stories now. Pick a floor if you want."

"Thanks." She turned to us. "See you in the morning."

"You too."

And on that happy note, we left Poseidon Cabin and went to Hermes Cabin. This ought to be fun.
Sorry if its too short. I just thought it would be too much to have that much information. And it had to be, like, 11:30 at night for them. They needs sleep. I hope you enjoyed this chapter. The week peek "The Prophecy" is already up! Enjoy and comment if you want!
